First National Real Estate 4th Friday Pairs – 22 Mar 2024
Twenty four bowlers played in mixed conditions. We had 12 teams competing in 2 x 4 x 2 pairs format. We all played played 3 games of 8 ends.
We very much appreciate Michael Buckley of First National The Forest for their continued support of Belrose bowls and urge all members and friends to support them with all their real estate needs.
A warm welcome was extended to two players from South Africa Daphne and Eddie Lee.
Today’s jackpot was worth $60 and the lucky player was Kevin Toovey who, much to the disgust of his partners, was unable to draw his rink out and received a fine bottle of vintage wine as a consolation prize.
Third prize with 3 wins a draw and 16 ends won went to Barbara Samuel and Mike Evans who each received a bottle of wine.
The very popular second place winners with 3 wins and 17ends were Geoff Godfrey and Rody Manning who shared $30.
First place winners went to our South African visitors Daphne and Eddie Lee with 3 wins and an incredible 19 ends won. They shared $60.
Today’s helpers of Geoff, Mike and Andy are thanked for all their efforts.
There will be no Friday bowls next week (good Friday) however all are welcome to join us for Friday bowls and don’t forget to text or ring the Friday mobile where possible by Thursday evening or Friday morning before 9-30am at the latest on 0490 503 025.
