Ken welcomed our 36 players on a beautiful spring like day, with most of the regular players, a few visitors, and a first Friday for Gill Gray.
Our sponsor, Dom, was sent best wishes as he recovers from double knee surgery. Dom is now in rehab, and doing well.
Rowdy and Joe had the greens in their usual tip top condition and we all enjoyed the sunshine, friendship and great bowls.
We had 4 teams with 2 wins, with Lyn and Max just missing out on 3rd place. They did receive enthusiastic applause, though.
Maggie and Julie were todays winners, with 2 wins, and ends won 16. They shared $60 prize money. Coming in 2nd was this lucky lady, who played her first Friday game this year, and teamed up with Dafna, for 2 wins, and ends won of 13. We shared the $30 prize money. We kept it in the family with Kevin and Ken our 3rd place getters with 2 wins and ends won of 12. They each won a bottle of wine. Lyn and Max also had 2 wins, and ends won of 12, but K/K had a greater margin of 14 against 4.
Mike was the lucky player drawn for the jackpot of $60, but was unable to draw out his lucky number 11 rink.
We congratulated a few players celebrating their birthdays – Dafna, Therese, Graham, Colin and Max.
