Barrenjoey Smash Repairs Pairs – 1 Mar 2024

Another warm and very humid Friday Bowls, with smaller numbers mainly due to our busy Pennants calendar. Never the less, we had 22 enthusiastic players today, with plenty of laughs from rink 10.

We had two teams with 2 wins each, and due to numbers, one of our triples teams also crossed the line in the placegetters.

Coming in third place were Ken Pride and John Tomlinson with 1 win and a draw. Each player won a bottle of wine. Second place were Tristan Lau and Louise Amos, with 2 games won and ends won of 11. They shared $30 prize money. Our overall winners today were one of our triples team – Alex Heung, John Gray and Pat McMaster, with 2 wins and ends won of 14. They shared $60 prize money.

Ken Pride was our lucky player drawn, but didn’t manage to continue his luck by drawing out his first game rink number. He did win another bottle of red, though. Join us next week for our increasing jackpot – you never know, it might be your turn to be lucky.
