First National Real Estate 5th Friday Pairs – 29 July 2022
Today, we welcomed a fantastic 48 players playing on 12 rinks of 4 games of 7 ends. The weather and playing conditions were good after all the rain we have been experiencing.
Michael Buckley from First National Real Estate was able to join us today (as usual) and we extended him a big warm welcome. We very much appreciate FNRE the forest sponsorship.
Rody welcome all to today’s game and especially mentioned the following players:
- The large contingent of players from Asquith lead by Damian and included Peter (Noddy), Keith, Warren, Denis, Harold, Gary and Eric. Thanks Damian for arranging the visit
- Jacqui, Jenny and Bill from Seaforth
- Derek and Sylvia from Victoria
- Greg and John from Queensland
Rody, also mentioned that Pat Mills hip operation today was a success and wished Joe a great trip to the Commonwealth Games, even if he is a week late leaving and trusts his Malta bowling team goes well.
Today’s jackpot was worth $200 and the lucky player was Vanessa Kenny and she shared it with her first game players of Mike Evans, Mike and Shelia Odhavjee.
Third place winners with 3 & 1/2 wins and 19 ends was Vanessa Kenny & Mike Evans and they received lots of applause. Closely followed in 4th with 18 ends was John Prowle and Charles Chapman and in 5th place with 17 ends was Derek and Sylvia Tucker. They also received applause.
Second place winners with 3 & 1/3 wins and 20 ends was Matt Brown & Trevor Lessing and they received a bottle of wine each.
First place winners with 4 wins was Midori Matsuoka & Patricia Tan and they shared $70.
Today’s helpers Rody, Ian (Tinkey) Tink, Geoff and Doug are thanked for all their efforts.
Also, Rowdy our greenkeeper for providing extra rinks at late notice.
Next Friday is 4 bowl pairs of 2 games of 11 ends sponsored by Barrenjoey Smash Repairs.
