1st Wednesday 2 Bowl Triples – 9 May 2024

It was the inaugural Belrose Country Club sponsored event held this afternoon. We welcome their association with our club & appreciate their sponsorship. Thanks to our President Andy Little & Bob Connors for their involvement in this arrangement.

Limited rinks were available due to all the recent rain making it necessary to include “fours” games in our playing format. Thanks to our hard working greenkeepers for being able to provide a playable green. 

It was a great start with the sun beaming down making it pleasant for bowling. However later in the day heavy rain caused an early finish on most rinks. 

There were many close games with 4 teams winning both of their games. The overall place getters were then determined by the number of ends won. Club points & bottle of wine prizes with a total value of $440 were won by:

1st – Michael Graham, Kasey Watson, Jason Beswick & Ashley Carruthers.
2nd – Ash Whibley, Mike Evans & Steve Gliddon.
3rd – Neil Watt, Richard Lewis, Jeff Wood & Barry Rose

 The Lucky draw winner was Ken Alderton.

A raffle was held with 4 bowlers each winning meat trays. 

A special congratulation to the winners. Although Michael is an experienced bowler Kasey, Jason & Ashley are very new to the game. They have heaps of potential & did extremely well playing against experienced & strong teams.

This event will be held on the 1st Wednesday of each month. The playing format is 2 games of 2 bowls triples. Teams are ranked and matched up into sections. Enter your own team (preferred) or as a single entry. Please see the flyer on our web site for full details.
