First National Real Estate 2nd Friday Pairs -14 October 2022
With the day starting with rain and the Greenkeepers desperately trying to maintain the greens in this ridiculous weather (especially for the whole weekend of play offs) we didn’t think it would be on. But! Rowdy and Joey were able to give us 10 rinks which we filled with 40 players!
We had quite a few players that will be playing on the weekend and we wish everyone good bowling. It is always great to see people from other clubs join us. We love seeing you.
Also, to Michael Buckley from First National for his continued support. Please consider Michael if you are wanting to sell or buy. Michael has extensive knowledge of the market.
Not forgetting the volunteers on the day. Andy Little, Ian Tinks, Mike Evans (especially helping with the Flags because Julie was too busy laughing at Maggie nearly flying away because it was ssoooo windy), Maggie, Julie and to the Club Ltd. Staff.
We played 3 games of 9 ends. And there were several teams that won 2 games, which was a great effort, but they just missed out. And as Maggie suggested will have to come back next week and try harder. 😉
3rd Place was won by Anne McNeil and Kate Walsh (Seaforth) with two wins and a draw, 18 ends won with a winning margin of 8. They received a bottle of wine each.
2nd Place was won by Anne Rands and Ngoc Hau (Lindfield) with two wins and a draw, 18 ends won with a winning margin of 11. They received cash.
1st Place was won by none other than our home-grown team of Kevin Toovey and Ken (AKA The Smiling Assassin) Alderton, being the only players winning all three games. They received cash.
The lucky player was David JP Smith who won a bottle of wine.
On a side note – Congratulations to Kevin Toovey and Neil Mills who are off to the State playing Pairs for Zone 4 in the RSL. Good Bowling guys!
