First National Real Estate 2nd Friday Pairs – 13 Jan 2023
Black Friday! 36 Players today saw us hit the maximum number for only 6 rinks in play. We normally play pairs but with all the keen bowlers out there, we had to make it a triples match.
Next week Triples there will be 7 rinks with a maximum number of players capped at 42. Entries are filling in fast and at last count there was only room for two more teams (6 players). Better get in quick. There are some teams looking for players. So, check the sheet at the club.

Not forgetting the volunteers on the day. Andy Little, Ian Tinks, Mike Evans, especially Ken Alderton for helping Julie whilst Maggie was away – and to the Club Ltd. Staff and our Greenkeepers.
We played 2 bowl Triples – 3 games of 9 ends in muggy conditions.
3rd Place was won by Tinky, Graham Stewart and skipping was the incomparable Millsy with 2 wins. They won a bottle of our finest house wine each.
2nd Place was won by Frank Grubisich, David I Smith and skipping was Janice Grubisich (one of our newer members, in fact, the whole team is fairly new) with 2 wins and a draw. They won cash.
1st Place was won by Harvey Bowen, Kevin Toovey and skipping was The Smiling Assassin, Ken Alderton with all three wins! And he had to play on 3 different rinks. They also won cash.
The lucky player was Lyn Gray who won a bottle of wine.
There were four raffle winners with prizes of Club Points, a $20 Woolies voucher, and 2 bottles of wine.
