First National Real Estate 2nd Friday Pairs – 10 Feb 2023

After the major lightning storm the day before, Rowdy and Jo were hard put to getting the greens ready for the day’s play. The weather was hot and steamy and most of the 32 bowlers covered in sunscreen, were relieved when the final bowl was delivered.

Visitors from Chatswood (Keith Wright and John Jobson) as well as the itinerant Dafna Orbach joined the Belrose participants. Special mention was made of John Gray, who was playing his first (competitive) game at the Club.

The best performance came from Harvey Bowen and Graham Stewart who walked away with the first prize of $60 with visitors Keith Wright and John Jobson scooping up the second prize of $30 on offer. Craig Major and Mark Johnson won the consolation bottles of wine coming in third.

Lindsay Morris drew the must-go-off jackpot and his rink consisting of Frank and Janice Grubish and Richard Lewis shared the jackpot prize of $240 with him. A good afternoon’s haul!

Raffle prizes were won by Mike Odhavjee, John Gray, Richard Lewis and Graham Stewart.
