Belrose Chemist Triples 16 Dec 2022
Today, we welcomed 42 players playing on 7 rinks. We played 2 games of triples , with 11 ends played each game. The weather was very windy resulting in challenging bowls
We very much appreciate Belrose chemist for their ongoing sponsorship and encourage our players and families to support them.
As the jackpot went off last week today’s jackpot was $60 and the lucky player was John Clement who received a bottle of wine, as John was unable to draw out his rink number.
Four (4) teams had 2 wins today.
Forth place went to the team of Patricia and Wilson Tan and skipped by Midori Matsuoka with 2 wins and 11 ends won, and they received a loud applause from the bowlers.
Third place with 2 wins and 12 ends won, went to Richard Lewis, Gill Gorrick and Colin Horne who each received a bottle of top shelf wine.
Second place winners, with 2 wins and 14 ends won, were Phil Heath, John Jobson and Dafna Orbach and they shared $30.
First place winners with 2 wins, and an amazing 17 ends, was won by Suzi Fischer, Billie Maas and skip Steven Maas.
Andy passed on his best wishes to all for festive season and thanked the Friday bowls team for their efforts during the year.
A lucky player draw was conducted for a ham – thanks to Andy and Pertie. The lucky winner was Kevin Keller. A bottle of Whisky, donated by Julie Baker was also drawn and the popular winner was Richard Lewis.
Rody congratulated Midori for her big win and is now the National Japanese Ladies singles champion. A fantastic achievement. John Delaney was also congratulated on his 70th birthday.
Today’s helpers of Peter, Geoff, Ian (Tinkey) Tink, and Mike are thanked for all their efforts.
There will be no bowls next Friday (23rd) however we will be playing Friday 30th if we get sufficient numbers.
