Belrose Chemist Triples – 15 Dec 2023
It’s Friday again, and our regular bowlers have turned up for their usual 3rd week Triples afternoon, sponsored by our good friends from Belrose Chemist.
Susie Evans was congratulated on being presented with the Elaine Taylor trophy yesterday at the Womens Christmas Party, as the most improved player.
Numbers were a little down, and complicated, with Darrell, Richard, Janice and Frank having a pairs game. They almost won 3rd place, but were slightly beaten on a count of margins. Our other 18 players had two games of three bowl triples.
David, Harvey and Graham were our 3rd place winners, with 1 win, ends won 7, with a margin of 7. Each received a bottle of wine. Susie, Barbara and Mike came in second, with 1 win, and ends won of 14. They shared $30. Our winners today were Doug, Kevin and Ken, being the only team with 2 wins. They shared $60 prize money.
Mitch drew our our lucky player – Darrell Cutting, who didn’t manage to select his rink to claim the jackpot. This will roll over for our next Friday get together.
It’s a busy time of the year, and we expect to be playing next Friday, but that will depend on numbers. Please follow our usual procedure in putting your name on the list near the bowls office, or calling our Friday designated bowls phone 0490503025.
