Barrenjoey Smash Repairs Pairs – 4th February 2022
Weather played a large part of our Friday Bowls. Rain was scattered during the morning, and by 11am, the go ahead was announced. 40 players arrived – some with trepidation – cards called and the games commenced. Mother Nature had other ideas though, and after a few heavy showers, and three attempts to return to the greens, the day was cancelled.
Cards were scrutinised, and winners declared for the 7 ends completed. Coming in 3rd – but with no prize today, with a margin of 7, were Ken and Kevin. 2nd place getters, with a margin of 8, winning a bottle of wine each, were Gill and Denis. Winners for the day – apart from Mother Nature – with a margin of 9, were Lorraine Hazzard and Kay King, sharing $70. Lucky player and the Jackpot remained off the table, and the jackpot will need to be won next week. Free raffle tickets were handed out to the remaining players, with 4 lucky winners receiving club points and bottles of wine.
