First National Real Estate 4th Friday Pairs – 28 April 2023
32 bowlers, divided into four groups of pairs, took part in a mini 2x4x2 Round Robin competition. The weather was refreshing and the greens in really good shape. No rain appeared despite the BOM forecasts.
Visitors were Keith Wright (Chatswood), Dafna Orbach (St Johns) and Liz Boyd (Queensland).
Two teams had three wins. Kevin Keller and John Delaney won 15 ends but Lyn Gray and Ross Consentino won 16 making them the winners for the day. Mike and Susie Evans had two wins and a draw, earning them some liquid refreshment but no hard cash. Michael Buckley, from our sponsor First National Real Estate, attended and awarded the prizes.
No raffle was held as “after bowls” proceedings took place in the main bar with the usual venue in use.
The jackpot had to go off and Keith Wright, Dafna Orbach, Pat Mills and Del Connors were the lucky winners of $60 each.
