5th Friday Pairs – 29 September 2023

5^th Friday of the Month, which doesn’t happen very often, saw 26 players play in quite warm conditions and it’s not summer yet.

Thanks to the volunteers on the day Maggie and Mike Evans, and to the Club Ltd. Staff and our Greenkeepers.

It was lovely to see David and Michael from Pittwater and Earl from Willoughby Park. Which is just a reminder that Friday is open to all bowlers.

NOTE: Friday 13^th October there will be no Friday Bowls. The Women’s club is running a carnival that day.

THE RESULTS!!! And geez were they close.

1^st Place – Dafna and Peter                          with 2 wins and a draw and 14 ends won.

2^nd Place – Doug and Bob                               with 2 wins and a draw and 13 ends won.

3^rd Place – Alex and Carl                                 with 2 wins and a loss and 15 ends won.

4^th Place – Earl and David JP                           with 2 wins and a loss and 14 ends won.

5^th Place – Michael and David (Pittwater)      with 2 wins and a loss and 11 ends won.

First and second get a cash prize, third gets a bottle of wine each.

4^th and 5^th got an enthusiastic round of applause.

The jackpot had to go off and the lucky player was Neil Mills. He shared the jackpot with his partner Kevin Toovey and opposition Max Turnbull and John Grey.

Raffle winners were David Smith, Mike, Barbara and Michael from Pittwater
