Club Senior Pairs 2023-24

We had a fine afternoon for this year’s Senior Pairs with some rain forecast for later in the day. We needed to get through 3 Sectional matches plus a final, so we were hoping the rain would hold off.

We had 8 entries for the competition, split into two sections of four teams. After three hard fought sectional rounds, the two section winners were the teams of Lyn and Max Gray as well as John Delaney and Kevin Keller.

The knockout final was a close match all the way. The two teams were racing against the weather and a few drops of rain started to fall after the 7th end. After 9 ends it was a 6-all draw so, despite some rain, an extra end was required. At this stage, it was anybody’s match, however John and Kevin ended up winning by 4 shots on the extra end.
