Barrenjoey Smash Repairs Pairs – 2 Feb 2024
Hot and steamy describes our Friday Bowls, with 32 bowlers playing 2 games, 4 bowl pairs, 11 ends.
Ken welcomed our visitors from Chatswood and St Ives, and our regular happy bowlers.
Each of our winning pairs both won their two games, with a count after equal ends won for 2nd and 3rd bringing in the margins. All 3 games were extremely close, and 4th and 5th not far behind with 1 win each and a draw. Prize money this week went to – 3rd place – Carl and Alex, 2 wins, 13 ends won, and a margin of 10 – each receiving a bottle of wine.
Coming in 2nd were the formable team of Tinky and Millsy, 2 wins, ends won 13, and a margin of 15 – sharing $30.00.
Our winners were the very talented team of Barbara and Mike, 2 wins and ends won of 14. They shared the $60 prize money.
Andrew chose lucky player Harvey, who didn’t manage to pull his lucky 9 rink for the jackpot. This will roll over for another try at a win next week.
