Belrose Chemist Triples – 18 Oct 2024

Despite ominous weather forecasts, 36 players relying on the judgment of the greenkeepers enjoyed a rain-free afternoon in a two-game winners play winners competition.

Visitors from Newport, Pittwater and St Ives joined the fray.

The prizes were decided on wins and ends. Coming in third with one win and a draw were the team of Helen Thomas, Richard Lewis and Peter Nixon. In second place was the team of Barbara Samuels, Sue and Mike Evans with two wins, 16 ends and a margin of 18. The winners were the team of Lindsay Morris, Harvey Bowen and Graham Stewart with 2 wins, 16 ends and a margin of 22.

A raffle was held but the jackpot did not go off.

A minute’s silence was observed to mark the passing during the week of Peter Hadaway.
