5th Friday (TGIF) Pairs 30 Dec 2022

It was necessary to change the “pairs” playing format today as only 1 green was available. 

There were 36 bowlers playing 2 bowls triples over 4 games of 7 ends each on a rotation basis. 

The weather was great, recently renovated green was excellent & most importantly the company was exceptional. Just what we all needed to finish the year on a high.

The cash jackpot had reached $120. Paul Bodie was the lucky player drawn & was able to pull out his game 1 rink number. The cash jackpot was split between Paul & fellow rink players  of Therese Bodie, Colin Horne, David Smith, Harvey Bowen & Graham Stewart. 

The placings today were:-

* 3rd (3 wins & 14 ends won) – Craig Major, Bob Leonard & Doug Murphy (bottles of wine). 

* 2nd (3 wins & 18 ends won) – Patricia Tan, Rody Manning & Midori Matsuoka (cash). 

* Champions (3 1/2 wins)- Lindsay Morris, Kevin Toovey & Ken Alderton (more cash). 

There were also 4 lucky raffle winners collecting Club Purchase Points, Woolworths Cash Card & a couple of bottles of wine. 

Thanks to everyone who played today we appreciate your continued support. 

Next year – well next week – the playing format  is “pairs”. However with only 1 green available it may be necessary to again revert to “triples”.
