2022-23 State Pennant Finals wrap up

Big congratulations to all involved in the Grade 4 and Grade 6 Pennants Finals last weekend. A special thanks to Club Belrose for supporting the Sides so well with excellent organisation by Graham Hartmann, John Venteman and David I Smith. Excellent support also from Chris (Spider) Webber and Andy Little plus all the spouses. Both Sides made it through to the Quarter Finals which puts them in the top 8 Sides in the State for their Grade. Well done!!
The Grade 4’s at Tamworth had 2 wins (defeating Springwood and the much fancied Raymond Terrace) out of the 3 Round Robin Sectional matches to finish equal to South Tweed at the top of the ladder. This put them through to the Quarter Finals where they came up against a feisty Young Side.
Young just got over the Bulls in the last few ends, however it was an exciting and close game. Young went down to St John’s Park (the ultimate flag winners) in the Semi Finals.
The Grade 6’s at Warilla had 3 wins (defeating Dalmeny, Wenty Leagues and Cobar) to totally dominate their Section. Unfortunately they went down to a strong St John’s Park team in the Quarter Finals.
It was a great effort for the Belrose Bulls and we are all proud of the teams and the results.
Let’s do it again next year!
